Circle K Stores

LEAD: The Circle K Corporation said it had received a letter of intent from Texaco Refining and Marketing Inc. under which the Texaco Inc. unit would buy 25 Circle K stores in Hawaii for $29.5 million. Texaco also agreed to assume certain of the stores' debt obligations, Circle K said. The agreement remains subject to certain conditions, including the execution of a definitive agreement.

LEAD: British Aerospace P.L.C. said it had a $210 million order from the Pan Am Corporation for 10 Jetstream Super 31 aircraft and 10 Jetstream 41 aircraft, with options on another 20 planes. Deliveries of the Jetstream 41 are scheduled to begin in February 1993 and will be completed by the end of that year.

Honda vs. Subaru

LEAD: The Honda Motor Company, which makes the Acura Legend car, said it was seeking to block a trademark for the name of a Subaru car, the Legacy. Honda, which filed a complaint with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, said that it was not challenging use of the Legacy name, but that it did not want a trademark granted for the Legacy.

LEAD: The James River Corporation has agreed to sell its Nonwovens Group to Holzstoff Holding A.G. of Basel, Switzerland, for $175 million. The sale is expected to conclude before the end of March. James River also said it had completed the previously announced deal with Montedison S.p.A. of Italy and the Nokia Group of Finland under which the tissue and disposable hygenics operations of all three companies would be united.
