NBD Bancorp

LEAD: NBD Bancorp, the parent company of the National Bank of Detroit, said it had agreed to buy the State National Corporation of Evanston, Ill., for approximately $103 million. The merger must be approved by SNC shareholders, state regulators and the Comptroller of the Currency. The agreement would entitle State National shareholders to exchange each share for $25 in cash or an equivalent package of cash and NBD stock.

Computerland Sale

LEAD: The Computerland Corporation of Oakland, Calif., said it had sold Computerland Japan Ltd. to the Catena Corporation, an office computer automation company. Catena, which is based in Tokyo, has been Computerland's Japanese operating company, operating 36 stores, nine of which Catena owned. Retail sales for the group for 1986 were 6 billion yen, or about $33.8 million, Computerland said.

Intel Chip Pact

LEAD: The Intel Corporation, which is based in Santa Clara, Calif., said it would market dynamic random access memory chips, or D-RAM's, manufactured by Samsung Semiconductor, a South Korean company. According to the agreement, Samsung will supply pre-packaged and tested 64k, 256k and 12-megabit D-RAM's, which Intel will sell to distributors under its own label.

Joy Manufacturing To Go Private

LEAD: Shareholders of the Joy Manufacturing Company have approved a $620 million proposal to take the company private through a leveraged buyout, the company said. Under the plan, each Joy common share would be exchanged for 1.75 shares of redeemable preferred stock in the new company, which will be called Joy Technologies Inc.
